Government honours 3 year health pay deal

UNISON today welcomed the Government’s assurance that it would honour a 3-year pay deal for the UK’s health workers.

The assurance came as the Government submitted evidence to pay review bodies covering senior civil servants, NHS managers and magistrates, calling for a pay freeze.

Head of Health, Karen Jennings, said:

“We are pleased that the Government is honouring the three-year pay deal for our hard-working health members – many of whom are low-paid women.

“They will breathe a sigh of relief that they won’t have their pay frozen.
