New Branch Office

Unison Scottish Health Care Branch had for a number of years leased office space within the main Unison Edinburgh premises at Belford Road Edinburgh.

However, Unison Scotland took a decision over the past year to sell their area of the Belford Road building to a property developer that has resulted in all Unison staff and branches with leased areas to vacate the building.

Unison Scotland have now entered into a lease agreement on an alternative property that will be the new offices for a minimum of 3 years. Our branch has been in discussions with Unison Scotland to agree a Service Level Agreement in us leasing a dedicated office space within the new premises.

Having reached agreement to move into this dedicated space, work has been ongoing regards refurbishment/refit etc and at the time of writing this article it would appear that our new office will be ready for use at some point in September 2021.

With current Scottish Government advice still being to work from home where possible, we will not utilise the full use of the new branch office until a later date. However, we can now advise on the postal address of the new office where all correspondence to Scottish Health Care Branch should be sent with immediate effect. It is important that any correspondence is clearly addressed for our branch and not merely “Unison” due to the many different users that will be working in the building. Therefore, all branch correspondence should be sent to the following.

The original branch phone number of 0131 220 6903 is now obviously no longer in use either. We are currently in the process of arranging a new BT phoneline/Broadband and the new branch phone number will be communicated out to members when this is available.
